How school killed a lot of people’s potential

Preface

In this little blog, I’m going to write my honest opinion towards school systems and the way they operate, the negative impact that this system puts on a lot of youth, and many others.

In this blog, I’m not targeting special schools and teachers, I’m speaking on general facts towards all of them.

Indeed there are loads of positive things in school and teachers that I can contain here in this small blog, in fact, some people may accuse me of cherry-picking the negative impacts that this system had rather than its positive effects, So I let them answer when they finish reading all of this blog.

And finally, I will admit all my wrongdoing is rather my juvenile thoughts that I had today or how narrowly I think.

Introduction

In this blog, I am going to discuss how the school had an impact on people’s potential towards the future and the dreams that they had.

The way school systems operate in this era, teachers’ role and how they worsen the system, and finally the parents and their impact.

The system of the school

In the last decade and a half, we witnessed the most drastic development of the world ever happened.

Technology revolutionized the way we live in today’s world, for many sectors of the world in science, arts, etc. But in school, we don’t see any changes, school was left behind.

When you look at the way school is acting in the twenty century and this twenty-first century they look the same, when you look at the way school is teaching the kids is completely and utterly horrific.

All children who came up with different houses and have different desires and dreams are taught one way and one curriculum.

If you are not good at one subject or a couple of them on their curriculum they will tell that child is not clever and they called him such a disgusting description like dumb, idiot, thickhead, etc.

Isn’t all this jaw-dropping or staggering to call a child? 

But in reality, is vice versa, on this day the school system remained underdeveloped and the people who run it are still the backbenchers when you compare other life sectors.

But there is only one difference that school made and they tell us it’s a big win, in nineteen century and twenty-century school equipment were blackboard, chalk, and hard books, but in twenty-first-century, they use a whiteboard, marker and soft books instead of that. 

Even this equipments is not widespread around the world, some third world countries like my country are stick to the old equipment still.

I don’t think they are ready to change this astonishing system.

Many children are hopeless they couldn’t make school, school system tells them that they are worthy of nothing, that they would never make it a successful life, the system told them the success in life depends on the school.

The school system didn’t tolerate any change to happen, the system will not tolerate if the child is not good on one specific subject or course on their curriculum and he/she is good at the rest of the subjects, the system will bully that kid because of that subject.

Finally, I can’t conclude on this small blog how horrific, horror, and horrible the school system is.

Teachers

When it comes to the teachers they are the ones who worsening the system, because the vast majority of them don’t have full training when it comes to how to teach the children, and they are the one’s who practicing the system genuinely as it’s the right one.

I never saw or comes across one teacher who thinks this system is not right we have to change it or at least for ourselves not to bother these children with this horrific system.

So this is indicated or clarify how teachers are narrow-minded. 

On this blog, I’m mostly focusing on the system, so that I will later discuss the issues about teachers specifically in my country in separate blogs stay tuned.

I will leave it there on this part.

Parents

I think parents are very close us I mentioned above when I was discussing teachers most of the parents genuinely believe that school is right always and what is wrong is their children and it’s very hard to grasp school system is not comparable with your child in this century, and what is the matter the most is education, not school.

In this century with the opportunities we had you can be educated without school influence.

For instance, like myself, I did not learn English from school.

I did not learn the way I’m now critically thinking and the way I put the argument forward.

All the things I learned there, I forget all physics laws, chemistry compounds, mathematical equations, and etc. They are all vanished, but why?  

All parents must be aware there are loads of things in the school curriculum at are not important for every child.

Parents should have been educated, that education is important but school is not.

Society 

Finally our society, 

What can we do?

How we can change?

All these questions we can answer together, first if we acknowledge there is something wrong and must be changed and secondly address all of those things that we needed change step by step.

I’m pretty sure that we can change and come up with a great system.
